Background

We leveraged the power of local artists and technology to offer a unique way for communities to discover and shop small women-led, Black-owned, API, Latinx, and LGBTQ businesses in their neighborhoods.

The murals made it easy and delightful to discover small businesses that align with shoppers’ values. Every illustrated product became a real, shoppable item with the help of Google Lens.

These murals authentically portrayed their non-traditional communities in an uplifting, celebratory way and became a cheat sheet to cool nearby businesses and a fresh way to do holiday shopping right from your phone’s camera.
